The clayey, sandy terra forte is a degradation of basalt and obsidian, containing no pumice whatsoever, a rich, iron-bearing soil that imparts real power and structure to the Zibibbo grape. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe result is a wine of striking depth: a deep and complex skin-contact wine with a profound volcanic character, offering stone fruits, smoky salinity, and dried herbs. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhere Tanca Nica’s pumice-grown cuvées lean towards lightness and ethereal aromatics, Bugeber pulls in the opposite direction: dense, textured, and built to age, with the kind of mineral grip you can almost feel underfoot.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBugeber’s tannic grip, smoky salinity and concentrated stone fruit make it a natural companion to oily fish such as grilled tuna, swordfish or bottarga, as well as aged sheep’s milk cheeses like Pecorino Siciliano.
