The Cuvée Emilien is 85% merlot, 7% cabernet sauvignon, 6% cabernet franc, 1% malbec and 1% carménère. 2 years in oak barrels and casks.
The Robe is ganet red, with hints of ruby. The nose is fruity, with ripe red fruit aromas dominated by blackcurrant and redcurrant, accented with roasted almond notes. The palate is well rounded, full-bodied and precise, with velvety tannins paving the way for a finish which is long and enjoyably complex.
2000 is one of the best vintage of the century. This one, definitely hard to find... especially in magnum.
