Château le Puy
Château Le Puy, in the Côtes de Francs plateau near Saint‑Émilion, has been in the Amoreau family since 1610. Under Jean‑Pierre and Pascal, the estate began crafting zero‑sulfur, biodynamic wines in 1990, selecting only perfect fruit and aging in large oak for 24 months.
The two essential red cuvées of the estate, “Emilien” and “Barthelemy” are raised in barrel for 24 months. “Barthelemy” is produced without adding sulfur dioxide, and accrued using the bâtonnage technique according to a precise calendar based on the cycles of the moon.
All the vineyards of the Château are organic and biodynamic.
"Drops of God", the super popular Japanese manga comic series about wine, named Châteu le Puy one of the 13 best wines in the world.
