Le Premier Pinot Noir

100% Pinot Noir vinified like a grand cru: long whole-bunch infusions and aged in large old oak casks. The final wine fills just one 600-litre cask and one 225-litre barrel.
Vines planted in 2011 by Henri and Théo on the Clos with gravel and sand soils.

Floral notes and jasmine on the nose, with a rich and fruity palate, small and supple tannins and lovely tension.  Ripe cherries, cranberries, and subtle spice unfold gracefully, supported by a mineral undertone that adds complexity, with a smooth texture and a lingering, elegant finish. 

Drink it as you would a fine Côte de Nuits.  Pair with roasted pigeon, duck breast, or mushroom risotto.
