The blend is primarily Grillo, with smaller portions of Catarratto and a touch of Zibibbo. Barraco’s youngest vines planted on sandy soils near the coast. Direct press. Aged in stainless steel.
Beautifully aromatic wine and evocative of the Sicilian coast. Expect bright citrus notes like lemon zest, along with touches of orange blossom, hints of wild herbs (think wild thyme or fennel), and delicate floral undertones of wildflowers. A subtle saline, sea-spray character emerges, giving a sense of sea salt and coastal breezes.
It’s an ideal aperitif and pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, light fish dishes, or anything with Mediterranean flavours. Its fresh acidity and mineral-saline touch make it particularly good with oysters, grilled prawns.
