100% Blauer Wildbacher. Dark rosé. Few hours of skin contact.
The grapes come from the Bad Gams vineyard, planted on Gneiss soils with an important iron and silica content. Aged for twelve months in used 500-litre wooden barrels, mostly oak with a small portion of acacia. No fining, no filtration, no added sulphur.

Karmin is the German word for crimson, and it perfectly captures the nature of this wine: deeper and more serious than a rosé, yet lighter and more transparent than a red.

In the glass, the colour is a deep, vivid ruby with a translucent edge that hints at the wine’s lightness of touch. The nose is layered and compelling: fresh red cherry, wild raspberry, dried violet, and a faint earthy spice that speaks clearly of the Blauer Wildbacher grape and its Styrian home.

On the palate it is precise and silky, with a fine grip from the skin contact, a refreshing acidity, and a long, mineral finish. This wine lives in the compelling space between a light red and a deep, soulful rosé. Franz recommends serving it around 15 degrees and even decanting it to fully open up its layers.

At the table, it is wonderfully versatile: charcuterie, grilled salmon, duck, earthy lentil dishes, or a good cheeseburger. A wine that rewards those who pay attention.
