Yannick Meckert, based in Rosheim, Alsace, blends Burgundian heritage and Alsatian tradition to create expressive, zero‑zero wines.
After studying oenology in Beaune and Montpellier, he traveled the world—training with legends like Patrick Meyer, Christian Binner, and learning sake in Japan—before returning in 2020 to establish his biodynamic domaine on clay-limestone soils of Obernai and Heiligenstein.
Farming organically (no copper or sulfur) with diverse vineyard plantings, he emphasizes biodiversity and soil life. His cellar work is guided by Jules Chauvet’s philosophy: whole-bunch macerations, barefoot stomping, wild ferments, aging in barrels & amphora, no filtration, and no additives .
